Champion Lakes International Rowing Course & White Water Park
Wisteria Park is just 2km from the new Champion Lakes international standard rowing course - a 2km x 300m rowing venue that is the first of its kind in Australia.
The Champion Lakes Recreational Development provides for 56 ha of open water and includes the establishment of a white water rafting park for canoeing and kayaking.
The white water park will boast 700m of rapids for rafting, canoeing and body boarding and will no doubt attract a range of high profile recreational and sporting events to the City.
An Aboriginal Enterprise and Interpretive Centre is being built on the shores of the Champion Lakes rowing course to encourage tourism and enable visitors to find out more about the history of the site and its links with Aboriginal culture and tradition.
